    Archaeology.

There are four divisions in the archaeological history of Inis Mór:
  • The Megalithic tombs, and standing stones from the Bronze Age.
  • The stone forts of Inis Mór are possibly the most impressive prehistoric remains of Celtic Europe. Thousands visit Dún Aonghasa during the summer.
  • Early Christian vestiges scattered throughout the island.
  • Recent developments of note.
There is much to see on the Aran Islands.
